Film on Film
Films presented on 35mm
Call it physics, call it emotion, the experience of watching a film on film is unparalleled. Only ever imitated by digital technology, the texture of film is a vital ingredient in many filmmakers’ visions. Directors like Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan even led the charge in recent years to save many of the labs printing and processing 35mm film to ensure the future the industry’s legacy. Even today, studios still make physical prints of films they shoot using digital technology in order to preserve the work in the real world should the data captured ever become corrupted.
In today’s streaming world, where consumers are encouraged to rent everything, the very act of having something literal, that cannot possibly change, is a tangible delight and an experience we believe is worth having and investing in.
Film, after all, is film.
